Not so long ago, only the most plugged-in athletes knew about CrossFit, an unusual fitness program run out of a California gym.  Today, it’s a bona fide health-and-fitness movement. That’s because it works. Now there are thousands of CrossFit affiliates around the globe. 

Today, True CrossFit has moved into a 2,000-square-foot facility in Calgary that boasts the best equipment, computerized tracking of client progress, and top-notch coaches.

Fitness For All

At True CrossFit, we understand both high-level athletic performance and physical limitations. We’ve trained competitive athletes and weekend warriors, firefighters and grandmothers, carpenters and cancer survivors.

    We’re not training muscles and strength for their own sake. We train movement – movement that lets people enjoy whatever it is they’re doing, whether it’s high-level sports, gardening, or cleaning out the garage. Those are all about lifting, twisting, pushing, the full range of human movement. We train people to move their bodies effectively, powerfully, athletically, pain-free. And then, movement is fun.

We’re Different

At True CrossFit, you won’t be on your own, winging it, like at typical gyms. You’ll get individualized attention from a certified trainer, whether you sign up for one-on-one coaching or our hour-long classes.

It’s no secret that CrossFit-style workouts are hard. We’ll teach you how to do them, and do them safely. We make it fun, too. Each workout is different, so you’ll never get bored doing the same old routine. And it’s tailored to your skill level, no matter how fit you are.

Accomplish Your Goals

We focus on whole-body exercises, so we don’t fool around with single-use time-eaters like pec-decks, or monotonous Stairmasters. We love kettlebells and pull-up bars, jump ropes and barbells, rowing and sprinting and squatting.  Don’t know a barbell from a dumbbell? We’ll teach you. Lots of experience? We’ll teach you a lot, too. Either way, we’ll challenge you.
